Steven Bennet learned his trade growing up as a baker and butcher’s son in Louth. He spent the early years of his 23 year career working his way up in award-winning and Michelin starred restaurants. After a recent five-year stint as owner and Chef Patron at his award-winning 2 Rosette restaurant, The Comfy Duck, Steven now owns Healing Manor Hotel with his partner Charlotte Hay; its pub, The Pig & Whistle, has also been awarded 2 Rosettes. He won Business Person of the Year at the Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards in 2019, and is accredited to the Guild of Master Craftsman.
Out of his professional kitchen, Steven helps to put Lincolnshire on the foodie map, appearing at food festivals and events all around the UK, demonstrating with ingredients grown and produced in Lincolnshire. His style of food embraces traditional fresh cooking combined with modern dining.
